Routine Termite Inspections

Our routine inspections are the most thorough in the local area. We don’t just inspect the inside of your home. We hunt down termites wherever they might hide, including:

1. Your yard and garden: We check all your timber fencing, retaining walls, trees, tree stumps, and timber landscaping features within 50 metres of your building
2. Inside your building: Our termite inspectors examine all your timber fitouts, cupboards, trims, window architraves, flooring, skirting, doors, and door jambs for any potential termite entry
3. Under your home: We check your sub-floor too, if it’s accessible. We’ll look at the joists, bearers, stored timber, the underside of your timber flooring, and joists all the timber support structures of your home
4. The ceiling cavity and the roof: Moisture-affected and little-used areas are prime real estate for active termites. We check your skylights, your entire roof void, vents, gutters, downpipes, roof battens, beams, rafters, roof battens, eaves, and flues. Nothing escapes our attention.

The whole process should take a total of one to two hours.

After we finish, we will provide you with a complete termite inspection report about what we found whilst we’re still on site. When we return to the office, we’ll edit the report, and then write a summary letter that makes it easier to understand the most important parts of our findings.

Then, we’ll make our recommendations. If we find evidence of termites, we’ll advise you to schedule a comprehensive termite treatment to rid your property of them for good.

If we don’t find any termites, you may want to have a proactive treatment done to keep them from coming into your home in the first place. If not, we can give you some prevention tips, for example, removing termite-attracting vegetation and timber. A termite management plan is a must in order to protect your property from termite attacks.
